Bentham BC
About Bentham
The Bentham Boat Club is an alumni rowing club open to all past members of University College London Boat Club including their friends and family. It was founded in 1977 by ex-UCLBC members and in more recent years it has seen a resurgence.
Despite being an alumni club, they are still very much involved with the UCLBC university rowers and run events such as weekly circuits for the entire club, sculling training sessions and BBQs at various events throughout the year. This bridges the gap between current students and alumni, making for a bigger rowing family!
A Message

As any alumni club, we have many aims and idealisms but the most prominent two that are closest to our hearts are:
– To provide support and guidance to UCLBC and its members.
– To enable BBC members to remain in touch with one another so that they can attend events where they reminisce about the good old days racing at Henley Royal Regatta, Henley Women’s Regatta and the like.

We send out regular newsletters to all of our members and work closely with UCLBC so alumni can attend all of the events hosted by the college club. Every year we hold a picnic on the Saturday evening of Henley Royal Regatta after racing around 7pm in parking space B41 in Lion Meadow so just drop by as there’ll be plenty of Pimm’s for all (or juice for the drivers).
We need to continue expanding our membership so if you’re still in touch with your fellow crew mates from times gone past then please do send them our way.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!
