As Movember, the month formerly known as November, draws to a close, so do the enthusiastic efforts of the UCL Boat Club.

For the past month our senior men have been grooming their upper lips into the most splendid array of moustaches man has ever seen. While they were splendid examples of the raw man in most of the senior men as well as great highlights of who didn’t quite have the testosterone to grow one (classic Giles) they were also for a good cause.

The senior men, thanks to the support from the entire club, raised over £550 (so far).

All the money they raised goes to Movember, the charity that raises awareness for men’s health. With their focus on testicular and prostate cancer, topics often not discussed, Movember attempts to spread the word of men’s health issues.

Last year the charity raised over 79 million Pounds worldwide and this year the boat club was able to contribute.
